🔧 Step-by-Step Process:
1. Power Off the Device
Hold the power button and slide to power off the iPhone completely.
2. Remove the Pentalobe Screws
Using a P2 screwdriver, remove the two screws near the Lightning port at the bottom.
3. Heat the Edges
Use a heat gun or iOpener to gently warm the back panel to soften the adhesive (about 60–70°C or 140–160°F).
4. Use Suction and Pry Tool
Place a suction cup on the back and gently lift while using a plastic pry tool to create a gap between the frame and back glass. Work slowly around the edge.
5. Disconnect Battery (Important)
Once open, remove screws from the battery cover plate, then disconnect the battery using a plastic spudger. This prevents electrical damage.
6. Remove Rear Components (If Needed)
If components are glued to the panel (wireless charging coil, flash, microphone), carefully unscrew or desolder them.
7. Clean the Frame
Use isopropyl alcohol and a cloth to remove old adhesive from the frame edges.
8. Install New Back Panel
Apply new adhesive around the frame or use pre-cut adhesive strips. Align the new back panel and press firmly into place.
9. Reconnect and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery and secure all internal components and screws.
10. Test the Phone
Power on the device and test features like wireless charging, flash, and camera alignment to ensure everything is functioning.
