How to repair Mobile Flex
Repairing a mobile flex cable (also known as a flexible ribbon cable)
Tools You’ll Need:

Precision screwdriver set

Plastic opening tools

Tweezers

Heat gun or hairdryer

Suction cup (for screen removal)

ESD mat and gloves (to avoid static damage)

Replacement flex cable (specific to your phone model)
⚙️ Step-by-Step Process:
Step 1: Power Off the Device

Always shut down the mobile before starting any repair.
Step 2: Remove the Back Cover
-
Use a heat gun to soften the adhesive.
-
Carefully use a pry tool to open the back panel without damaging the body.
Step 3: Disconnect the Battery
-
Unscrew and remove the battery connector shield.

Use a plastic tool to disconnect the battery connector.
Step 4: Locate the Damaged Flex Cable
-
Depending on the function (display, fingerprint, charging port, etc.), identify the damaged flex.
Step 5: Remove Old Flex Cable
-
Unscrew any brackets or shields holding the flex in place.

Use tweezers to gently lift connectors.

If it’s glued, apply a bit of heat and remove it gently.
Step 6: Install the New Flex Cable

Carefully align and insert the new flex cable into the connector.

Press down gently to lock it.

Screw back any retaining plates or shields.
Step 7: Reconnect the Battery

Reconnect the battery and temporarily power on the phone to check if the repair was successful.
Step 8: Reassemble the Phone

Once everything works, reassemble the phone in reverse order.
